Charity Night: bring a thimble for sewing Cancer pillows
We will have a few guest speakers and visitors this month, including the San Antonio Eye Bank, Shakira Thompson, who will be selling a variety of specialty fabrics, and the New Braunfels Quilt Guild will be selling raffle tickets for their Raffle Quilt.

Please join us at the inaugural Charity Work Day at our new AHQG Workroom.
We are incredibly grateful to Maggi for graciously opening her large workroom for our charity group. This new space will allow us to continue our meaningful work while keeping all of our AHQG supplies and projects together in one central location.

Guest Speaker: Gayle Unruh – Legacy and Legends – Three Centuries and Four Generations of Quilting.
Gayle is originally from Kansas and has incorporated the knowledge passed down from three generations of family quilters to continue their legacy. Before moving to Texas, she lived in Missouri, where she learned longarm quilting and purchased a longarm machine. Gayle expanded her quilting skills in the area of art quilts and often incorporates travel scenes and nature into her quilts. Gayle’s professional life included working for engineering firms and the Missouri Department of Transportation (DOT) as a wildlife and wetlands biologist and manager of the Missouri DOT Environmental and Historic Preservation Section.
