At least that’s how it seemed to us. Great meeting where we stuffed pillows for cancer patients undergoing chemo. And then we had a wonderful April Charity Bee at Joanne’s.
Thanks to member Vickie DuBose, for showing her ‘quick’ quilting ideas for making charity quilts. She said she knocked this one out in no time. Cute Mickey Mouse material didn’t hurt the concept at all!
Are we serious about charity or what? Charity Chair Joanne brought the materials and we brought the ENERGY. Way to go AHQG. Go here if the pictures don’t show above.

The meeting this month was memorable. First of all, the desserts were FABULOUS! I should know – I brought one of them. Man do May birthdays know how to celebrate! But I digress. The Show and Tell was its’ usual success – so make sure you stop in there and get a peek (click here to get on over there). Also – fellow member, Cathy Kropp presented a really engaging program centered on paper piecing. The amazing ‘Tres Amigas’ have come out of retirement just in time to display some wonderful quilts for charity. The theme they used obviously centered on Halloween, and are sure to become treasures to some children in need later this year. Welcome back ladies!! And great work!

With all the hoopla going on around the 2015 auction, it was nice to see Charity quilts on display at our october, ’15 meeting. Thanks to Janet for this reminder of our many other goals.
