Program Chair, Kathy Smith, was able to show us what will be made in the July workshop.  With the patriotic theme that goes with July – you will be making a table runner or small wall hanging with a flag theme.  Looks exciting.  Let Kathy know if you want                                                  to sign up.  Limited spaces.

Our April meeting was full of charity activity.  If you want to see us busy stuffing pillows – go here.  The Show & Tell in April was a little smaller than usual, but that was more than made up by the stunning quality of the quilts shown.  Enjoy these beautiful quilts here.

I’ve been having problems getting updates – so I worked on getting a ‘cleaner’ list of topics and emails.  We’ll see.  If you haven’t already looked at the February Photos – the links are below.  See you next month!

For those who love to relive our meetings or find that one quilt from Show & Tell – we are
happy to provide you this month’s updates.  The Show & Tell is very often the highlight of our meetings – so don’t miss that.  And this month’s program provided by local artist Peggy True, was both inspiring and uplifting.  SYMMETRY!!

We started out the new year without the face of Janet Daniels bringin us to order.  After two years – this is quite a change!  Welcome to our new President – Susan Hall.  What a great meeting.  It was one of the most attended meetings I can remember.  The Show & Tell was superb.  The Program was enlightening & impressive.  And I have a few general pictures of meeting as well.

An exciting Holiday meeting included a marvelous Show & Tell, a delicious Potluck, a wonderful Mug Rug exchange and the Installation of the 2017 Board.  This meeting was packed with all kinds of things to savor – from great food to beautiful quilts done by our members.  And if you didn’t catch the sample of January’s Workshop – look at the post directly below this one.

Workshop with Denise Green of Holly Dee Quilts of Luling, is set for January 14, 2017.  She will be teaching the “Cactus Flower” pattern using paper foundation piecing.  Very little space is left – so make sure you contact Kathy Smith quickly if you’re interested.
